Bomb disposal squad on Friday defused a bomb weighing 10 kilograms found from Cheel Chowk area of Lyari in the limits of Kalakot police station Karachi. A heavy contingent of police cordoned off the area, after which the BDS was called in. "The bomb containing nails, ball bearings and explosive material was concealed in a concrete block" said Station House Officer (SHO) Jawaid Baloch, adding that it was defused successfully by the BDS teams after hectic efforts averting a big tragedy. He said that a detonation wire was planted within the explosive material

He said that law enforcement agencies averted a big tragedy after defusing the bomb. A case was registered against unknown accused under section 54 of bomb disposal act.
